"I don’t want to spend all of my time cleaning” - Episode 20 with Becky, AKA "Clean Mama"
Today I talked with Becky from Clean Mama, an online cleaning community and blog. Becky is the QUEEN of implementing cleaning systems to help you create and maintain a home that brings you joy rather than stress.
We talked about preparing for the back-to-school season and returning to the structure of the school year. Becky walked us through an introduction to the Clean Mama system and shared what advice she’d have for someone just starting.
It was a great conversation and I hope it inspires you to clean something, just like it did me!

BONUS: The “Why” Behind the Alison Lumbatis Show
I'm posting before I've even watched the video because I love Clean Mama so much! I use her system...so easy and so helpful!
Love your guest today! She has been an inspiration to me and how I clean my home for at least 10 years. I mostly have purchased her books and make my own cleaning products now. My scattered brain loves the idea of a system! What a perfect positive pair the two of you are. I would love to see Becky’s wardrobe, skincare, makeup and hair routine as she looks great and I am sure, like you, Allison, that she likes to have a system 👍🏻
I feel that putting music on is such a motivator.
Can everyone on testosterone post what strength they are getting, just curious.
The outfit and hair are amazing
Can you send a link to your distressed jean jacket please?
What kind of bra do you wear with those tank tops?
I live alone so as no one a round I dress how I want but when there is people around I dress all with everything's
When I'm at home I uesealy when just a long shirt I always make nothing going to show
You are my kind of person I could hang with
Ooh
Love these tips, definitely been thinking more like this as i age 👌🏽
Great advice, even for a 59 year old like me! 😊
Cool
I would also like to know please
Please let me know what sports bra works with the top you have on- I have a few of these
,
Great advice!
This is helpful, thank you, Allison!
I love it and you look gorgeous as always, but I would need to add a small pop of color somewhere. I can’t do all neutral. Maybe the earrings.
Love this!
Cute! thank you for the tips
Who cares??????
That’s not nice, why bother commenting?
Thanks for these tips!
lol, I knew every one of those style icons!
Who makes the flat sandals?? Also blazer??
I'm keeping my skinny jeans and low ankle boots
This is so fun Joy! Love your spirit!!
I love this!
Can you add links to some of these pieces?
❤Loved this interview. This station is so down to earth and comforting to watch. My Grandma made so many special clothes for me when I was growing up too. Now our daughter works in the fashion industry. Joy is a lovely woman! ❤
You look great in these outfits! But I look weird, like a librarian, blazers just don’t suit me, an instant office look on me, I can’t pull a casual blazer outfit.
I live in hot, humid Southeast Florida and also frequently take cruises in hot weather locales. Linen-blend pants and tops are staples of both my home and travel wardrobes. I agree that with you about the wrinkles: they don't bother me. But I also find that the wrinkles will relax/dissipate while wearing in humidity.
I’m wearing linen pants with prints tomorrow 🤫
Great episode! When ironing damp linen, iron on the wrong side to avoid getting a shiny sheen.
I love these sessions, Alison. Great inspiration and positive thinking on a Monday morning- I look forward to these honest conversations every week! Thanks! Showing up and being our authentic selves is my takeaway…❤️
Do you include talls?
where’s the white t-shirt from?
You would have given it up wether you wanted or not,or got out
I enjoyed every minute of this show. The struggles Robin shared are so relatable. I also love fashion and wish I could dress more like I was on vacation too! I tend to make purchases based on price and then regret them later.
I have always loved watching Jannie style the formual's in the Facebook group. It always inspires me to try different ways to style the outfits. Such a good interview!!! xo
Agree, I have the tieks leopard flats and have used them for about 5 yrs still going strong
Sometimes it’s easy to be overwhelmed with fashion advice from influencers on social media and it’s healthy to switch off and just work on your own personal style. Loved this today, thanks Alison!
I love the style of the sweater you’re wearing in this video! I would love to know where it’s from!
I love New England. It's a little similar to my Quebec Province fashion and way of life. But we also have a bit of that french concern about being "put together" even when we are at home.
We are soul sisters!! I always saved things and never wore them when they were in style!!
YES!!! "Why not?" Such an awesome interview 🥰xoxo
Where is the blazer from???
Yes, I am 70… This is the first time I have seen your channel. I so connected with Robin and loves all your tips. I am to afraid I will say after I eliminate item I will wish I had it back and buy it again. I overpack on a trip just to have a variety to choose from or to dress in what ever mood I am in. Thank you for the packing tips too!
Change ur fucking mindset and thank God for every privilege. Consumerism is crazy, some of these clothes are made by children and slaves. Grow tf up
